Physicians

Alex J. Correa, M.D.

Dr. Correa earned his B.S. in Microbiology at Louisiana State University and attended medical school at Louisiana State School of Medicine.

Afterwards, he completed his residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. As a board-certified physician in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Correa joined The ENT Center in 2000 and is one of the leading cochlear implant surgeons in Georgia. He enjoys serving at his church, in our community, and on the mission field. He is married with three children and is a serious LSU fan!

Sanford G. Duke, M.D.

Dr. Duke graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Zoology and Genetics.

He attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He is board certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Duke joined The ENT Center in 2001 and currently serves on the Medical Executive Committee and the Cancer Tumor Board at Navicent Health and sits on the Executive Council for the Boy Scouts. He and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Duke, a family physician in Macon, have three beautiful children.

C. Warren Dunn, M.D.

Dr. Dunn, raised in Crawford County, received his B.A. in Chemistry from Berry College, and attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia.

He completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. He then joined The ENT Center in 1986 as a board-certified physician with the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, Society for Ear, Nose, and Throat Advances in Children (SENTAC), and is a leading cochlear implant surgeon in Georgia. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at Mercer University School of Medicine and his special interests are surgical correction of hearing loss and pediatric ENT patients. Dr. Dunn and his wife enjoy spending time with their two children and grandson Oliver. Dr. Dunn is an avid outdoorsman who loves hunting and fishing.

John W. Griffin, M.D.

Dr. Griffin, a local from Macon, received his B.S. in Applied Biology from Georgia Tech.

He attended medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where he also completed his residency. Dr. Griffin joined The ENT Center in 1998 as a board-certified physician in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and is also a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology. He and his wife have three beautiful children and he enjoys traveling, music, Georgia Tech, and Rally Cars!

Keith D. Holmes, M.D.

Dr. Holmes, originally from Sandersville, Georgia, graduated from Mercer University with a B.S. in Biology.

He received his M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency at Wake Forest University. He then joined The ENT Center in 1990 as a board-certified physician in Otolaryngology and has a special interest in Head & Neck Oncology. He is an active member of Northway Church and enjoys going on mission trips whenever possible. Dr. Holmes likes to spend his free time hitting some irons. He and his wife are proud parents of two sons who are both interested in medicine like their father.

Matthew L. Jerles, M.D.

Dr. Jerles received his M.D. degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, after completing his undergraduate studies at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

He completed two years of general surgery at the Emory University School of Medicine then completed his residency in Otolaryngology РHead and Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt University in 1994. He joined The ENT Center in 1994. Dr. Jerles is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology РHead and Neck Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology­ Head and Surgery, the American Medical Association, and Georgia Society of Otolaryngology, where he is currently serving on the Board of Directors. He is blessed by his wife, Tami Tesch-Jerles, and two lovely children, Tesch and Paul. His hobbies include tending to their needs, singing, and Tar Heel Basketball.

J. Robert Newman, M.D.

Dr. Bobby Newman received his M.D. degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, after completing his undergraduate studies at Berry College in his hometown of Rome, Georgia.

He completed a general surgery internship then completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has completed an entire year dedicated to Head and Neck cancer research and published numerous manuscripts and book chapters. Dr. Newman joined The ENT Center in 2013 and is board certified in Otolaryngology. He and his wife, Allison, have 3 beautiful children – Sam, Bradley, and Charlotte. His hobbies include serving at his church, fishing, and woodworking. He gives God all the glory for his family and career.

Anesthesiologists

Robert C. Wilson, M.D.

Dr. Wilson earned his B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Georgia. Shortly thereafter, he attended Mercer University School of Medicine where he earned his Medical Degree.

Dr. Wilson completed his internal medicine residency in Greenville, South Carolina, prior to finishing his anesthesia residency at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Wilson is a board certified anesthesiologist and currently works in our surgery center at The ENT Center of Central Georgia. He is married with five children, active in his church, and enjoys hunting and other outdoor activities.

J. West Hightower, M.D.

Dr. Hightower received his undergraduate degree from Oxford College and Emory University in Chemistry. He then completed five years of graduate training in chemistry at the University of Georgia.

He received his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine where upon graduation he entered residency in anesthesiology at The University of South Florida. Upon finishing training, he returned to his hometown of Macon, Georgia, where he has practiced for the past 20 years. He is board certified by the American Society of Anesthesiologists and currently works in our surgery center at The ENT Center of Central Georgia. He is married and has 4 daughters who are very involved in soccer.
